Youth Music School Wil-Land
The music teachers at the Youth Music School Wil-Land gave lessons to a total of 165 children and young people from Zuzwil and Züberwangen last year. The municipality contributed to the costs with an amount of around 314,000 francs.
Nursing care financing
The municipalities pay the remainder of the inpatient care costs. An amount of around 525,400 francs (previous year 541,300 francs) was paid for 46 people.
Sproochbrugg upper school
For more than eight years, the pupils from Niederhelfenschwil and Zuzwil have been attending the Sproochbrugg upper school together. The total net expenditure for 2021 was around CHF 5.95 million. The cost calculation is based on the number of students and the number of residents. The municipality's share last year was CHF 3.14 million.
Pro Senectute
There is a performance agreement with Pro Senectute Wil-Toggenburg for "Services for social counseling in old age". The costs are based on the number of consulting hours. Around 5,500 francs (32 hours of advice including basic cost contribution) were billed.
Child and adult protection authority (KESB)
KESB Wil-Uzwil is responsible for adult and child protection in the municipalities of Jonschwil, Niederhelfenschwil, Oberbüren, Oberuzwil, Uzwil, Zuzwil and the city of Wil. The net costs of CHF 1.62 million are divided among the member communities based on the number of cases and the number of inhabitants. This resulted in an expense of around CHF 88,600.
Professional assistance (BBU)
Last year, the BBU looked after a total of 190 clients in the areas of assistance, guardianship and accounting. The expenses of the BBU for the member communities amounted to almost 675,700 francs. The Zuzwil share was around 75,700 francs.
Spitex Region Uzwil
In 2019, the Spitex Region Uzwil (SRU) association, consisting of the municipalities of Jonschwil, Lütisburg, Oberbüren, Oberuzwil, Niederbüren, Niederhelfenschwil, Uzwil and Zuzwil, began operations. The net expense amounted to CHF 1,582,700. The costs are divided on the basis of a key "calculated working hours/number of residents". The community's share was CHF 149,500.
Advice for mothers and fathers
The advice center for mothers and fathers in Untertoggenburg-Wil-Gossau offers parents of babies and children up to preschool age the opportunity to receive professional advice. The total costs of around CHF 632,900 are borne by the 13 affiliated municipalities. As a member, Zuzwil made a contribution of around CHF 24,000.
Psychomotor
The community is affiliated with the Association of Regional Offices for Psychomotor and made a contribution of around CHF 40,800. The association offers children, young people and adults with psychomotor problems support in everyday life using various therapies.
Kaktus
The city of Wil organizes the integration and prevention project "Kaktus". A total of seven municipalities are involved in the project. Together they make an annual solidarity contribution of CHF 52,000. The user contribution for 278 visits from Zuzwil is around 18,800 francs.
Addiction counseling in the region of Wil
In Wil there is an office for addiction counseling (alcohol and drugs) for seven communities. Overall, the expenses amounted to around 448,900 francs, the community share was around 52,500 francs.
Civil registry office
The city of Wil carries out civil registry tasks for the municipalities of Kirchberg, Niederhelfenschwil, Wil and Zuzwil. The registry office certifies births, child acknowledgments, marriages, registered partnerships, name declarations and deaths. Zuzwil made a contribution of almost CHF 8,100 for the above services.
Land registry
22,700 francs were received from the building insurance company of the canton of St.Gallen (GVA) as compensation for the participation in the insurance business and in the valuation system. The amount consists of a basic estimate of the number of insured buildings and the insurance capital.
Emergency slaughterhouse Niederuzwil
In Niederuzwil, seven communities jointly operate an emergency slaughterhouse. The municipality made a contribution of around CHF 1,900 for the maintenance and upkeep of the building.
Special and toxic waste collection point
According to the Office for the Environment and Energy, the amount of hazardous and toxic waste collected in the canton of St.Gallen has fallen again compared to the previous year. While it was 319 tons in 2020, only around 268 tons of hazardous and toxic waste were collected last year. The St.Gallen municipalities share in the costs for the construction, operation and disposal of the collection points with a contribution calculated according to the number of inhabitants. The remainder is paid by the canton. Zuzwil contributed around CHF 2,600.
Carcass collection point
The regional carcass collection point in Zwizach is operated in Bazenheid. The total expenditure for the past year was around 45,700 francs. The share for Zuzwil was almost 3,600 francs.
