Triple Solar presents heat pump for residential buildings to match its PVT solar modules

Triple Solar BV has presented a heat pump that it developed exclusively for operation with the company's photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) solar modules of the company.At Solar Solutions International at Amsterdam, it presented the proposed 3.5-kilowatt heat pump this week, which can be installed in both existing buildings and in new buildings.According to the manufacturer, the product is suitable for smaller houses and apartments with an area of up to 100 square meters.In the case of larger houses, two heat pumps can be installed in one cascade in a modular approach.

The 230 VAC heat pump measures 83 by 48 by 45 centimeters and weighs 50 kilograms."It can be worn in two 25 kilograms in the attic or in the basement," said the company.It pointed out that it can be placed in a closet without a separate technical room required."Normal heat pumps weigh 100 to 120 kilograms and, according to health and safety laws, it is not allowed to transport them without lifting."

The heat pump works with a 230-volt water boiler with a capacity of 200 liters, which is activated when the outside temperature falls below zero degrees.According to Triple Solar, this configuration enables gas savings of up to 80 percent in heating and hot water preparation.
