The well-known manufacturer Roborock, which specializes in various household cleaning devices, has announced a new model from the vacuum and floor mopping robot segment to coincide with the CES in Las Vegas. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is a combined vacuum and mopping robot that aims to make automatic dirt and water emptying a cornerstone of robotic cleaning.
Richard Chang, founder and CEO of Roborock, explains in a message to us. Compatibility with Roborock's new Empty Wash Fill Dock means less manual maintenance for users. The mop is cleaned automatically during and after cleaning, so that the vacuum and floor mopping robot is ready for the next use. The station cleans itself when you wash the mop - so both the mop and the station are always well looked after. With the automatic refill function, the S7 MaxV Ultra can mop up to 300m2, 50 percent more than its previous models, and the dust bag can hold dust for up to 7 weeks.
Room recognition and suggestions for ideal cleaning processes
Thanks to a combination of RGB camera, structured 3D light and a new neural processing unit, the S7 MaxV Ultra recognizes objects in its path more precisely and adjusts the cleaning accordingly - regardless of the lighting conditions. It recognizes and positions furniture in the app, so users can start a quick cleaning around dining tables or sofas with a simple tap of an icon in the app. It even recognizes rooms down to the individual floor coverings and recommends ideal cleaning processes, such as the order in which individual rooms are cleaned, suction power and suction intensity. The S7 MaxV Ultra is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for its cyber security standards.
In addition, the S7 MaxV Ultra is designed for uninterrupted cleaning runs and is equipped with Roborock's VibraRise technology - a combination of sonic mopping and mop-lifting. This combination allows for a smooth transition between carpets and hard floors, while the robot also removes heavy soiling. The maximum suction power of 5100 Pa also offers powerful cleaning.
In addition to the suction power of 5,100 Pa, the other features of the new release also include a 400 ml dust container, a 200 ml water container and a 5,200 mAh battery. The maximum running time is 180 minutes, the maximum suction area in one pass can be up to 300 square meters. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is fully charged within 4 hours and can overcome thresholds of up to 2 cm. In normal mode, the vacuum and floor mopping robot has a background noise of 67 dB, and six crash sensors are installed to ensure safe cleaning processes.
The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra will be available in Germany in April with an RRP of 1,399 euros in black. More information about the product is available on the official product website. We have already tried to get a test copy and will hopefully be able to provide you with further detailed impressions of the new release in the coming weeks.
