FF14: Maintenance on January 25, 2022 - Patch 6.08, server ferry and more

Patch 6.08 for FF14 Endwalker is released, the Final Fantasy 14 home world transfer service is resumed, the sales freeze is relaxed and a new data center is put online. But first there will be maintenance work on January 25, 2022.

Anyone who has read the last letter from Director Naoki Yoshida knows: things will be busy in Eorzea in the next few days! Patch 6.08 for FF14: Endwalker will be released on January 25, 2022. The focus should be on optimizing the job balance:

Data Center Premiere & Stop sale

The people responsible at Square are also implementing further measures this week to relieve the Final Fantasy 14 servers. The new data center for Oceania, which is scheduled to go online with five worlds on January 25, 2022, is particularly important for the Japanese.

We are more concerned with the resumption of the home world transfer service on January 26, 2022. The service should then be available to players from all data centers. Only on FFXIV worlds that are rated full will no transfer be possible. Furthermore, the download version of Final Fantasy 14 (buy now €25.98) should be available again from January 25, 2022 at 09:00 a.m. Due to the large number of players in December the developers had announced a sales stop.

Maintenance on January 25, 2022

To prepare for all this, the developers are planning an all-world maintenance on January 25, 2022. This should run from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (via Square Enix). The Lodestone and the Companion App are also affected by the maintenance. However, the application will only be unavailable from 07:00 to 09:00.
