New »KILL La KILL« figure shows Ryuko in a bunny outfit

The Japanese company FREEing recently presented a new figure for the anime series »KILL La KILL«, which shows the character Ryuko Matoi in a bunny outfit.

Figure releases June 2022

The »Ryuko Matoi – Bunny Version, 2nd« from the »B-style« series by FREEing measures about 35 centimeters on a scale of 1:4. The materials PVC and ABS are used for production. There are first pictures later in this article.

The Limited Exclusive release is slated for June 2022 at a price of 26,000 yen. Pre-orders will soon be possible at all participating figure dealers. Depending on the provider and country, the sales price may vary slightly as usual.

The 24-part anime series »KILL La KILL« was created by Studio Trigger and was broadcast on Japanese television from October 2013 to March 2014. In Germany it was released on DVD and Blu-ray by peppermint anime.

As good as I think the series is, I think the character is bad. I'm generally not a big fan of bunny figures and this one is no exception. I don't like the pose and I don't like the facial expression either. Also, I think the legs are way too long; that does not fit. In my opinion, an attempt was made here to simply squeeze the character into the bunny version. Like I said, I don't like this. If you like it, you can buy it; that is free for everyone.

I haven't seen the series, but know some pictures etc.

This character always wears little or nothing at all. Are they embarrassed now because she's wearing too much? XD It can't be the other way around. Didn't really bother her otherwise. XDD

Nothing new about the character. What I always find so terrifying are those shiny costumes and ears. It just doesn't look good and then in such a color. I know it's probably because of the red strands in her hair. But doesn't make it any better.

At first she was embarrassed; however, this reduces over the course of the series and she takes it with composure. And when she is in the fighting situations, then she has other things to take care of. On top of that, their opponents' (and their allies') outfits... aren't necessarily free of awkwardness either; so she's in good company. It's quite a crazy title with a certain foreign shame factor. I found it very entertaining though I must say.

I stopped it after episode 5 because the overexcited female sidekick was getting on my nerves! But you can clearly tell that the anime is from the same forge as »Gurren Lagann« - and this series is one of the best ever!!!

Strictly speaking, one could come to the conclusion that all the characters there are actually a bit over the top; certainly, some more than others. If you stopped after episode 5, then you missed one or the other ... highlight. But that's the way it is: you can't please everything. It's no different for me.

Yes, that's one of the things that really annoys me the most about Bunny characters. Take a torso blank in Standard Bunny lingerie, nail a head on it that has the hairstyle of a well-known anime girl, put bunny ears on it and garnish it with a facial expression that often hardly fits the character at all, and the merch is done . It's not mine, but whoever likes it, there you go. Happy holidays to everyone.
