Paul Pogba has denied rumors of a dispute with United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a Twitter statement. In a screenshot, he describes a report by the English Sun as "fake news" and wrote: "All lies, only there to create headlines!".
What happened? The Sun claimed in an article earlier this week that Pogba had apologized to his teammates for his early dismissal against Liverpool (5-0), but had not spoken to Solskjaer in the dressing room.
"Fake News": Paul Pogba attacks English media
As a result, Pogba is said to have put talks about his contract, which expires in the summer, on hold again. However, the Frenchman reacted to the claims with a clear stance via Twitter and later also on Instagram.
In his Instagram story, Pogba wrote that he only reacted to the reporting out of respect for "the coach, his club and his fans" and explained that the "tabloid press once again wanted to generate polemics with 100 percent fake news".
These are "journalists who use my name to be seen when there is nothing to see," Pogba said. After the bitter home performance against Liverpool, the entire ManUnited team, but especially coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, came under pressure.
