Entrepreneur and reality TV star Claudia Obert celebrates her 60th birthday on September 24th. Shortly before, she published her book "Life is a Party" (Riva), in which she tells of her wild experiences. In an interview, Obert also reviews the past 60 years. She also reveals what she has planned for the coming years - and that might even include children - a retrospectively intense topic for Obert.
Claudia Obert was pregnant at 17
Her plans also seem to include children, as she revealed in an interview with "Bild": "I would like to adopt a child!" However, the reality TV queen was already pregnant, as she continues to tell. When asked if Claudia Obert regrets not having children, she replies: "I have no regrets! I was pregnant when I was 17, but I lost the child." She doesn't go into it anymore. But she talks about her former life.
What would you like to say to your younger self?
Obert: Life in net pleasure gain. Always do what you feel like doing. Don't plan too much in life and change direction when it's no longer possible. I can proudly say: Nobody tramples on me, not a man, not a father, not a mother. There are always people around you, but you determine your life, not the others. And: not the same man in the long run.
I'm just glad that I have my small company, twelve employees, three to five million in sales. On average I can spend 1000 euros every day. It's not rich, but I'm not poor either. I'm a little crazy, but that's a good thing. I also have the blues from time to time, but c'est la vie.
In your book "Life is a Party" you write: "I have achieved and experienced pretty much everything I dreamed of." What have you planned for the coming years? Do you want to approach your life more dignified?
Obert: I would like to advance my film, radio and television career. I've been writing books since I was three years old - I wasn't even able to write then. I even still have all my old vocal books and such. I want to make a film out of this material. It should be called "Between the sheets - Through beds and balance sheets". The film is supposed to be about life itself. Similar to "The Wolf of Wall Street", but then "The Milf of Wall Street". Unfortunately, I'm not on Wall Street, if it were up to me I'd be as tall as Jeff Bezos [57, Amazon founder, ed.], but unfortunately I didn't succeed.
But I'm already taking it very seriously. I wouldn't want to do ten times what I'm currently doing. But I could throw more into the bin. I don't draw from the full.
You end your book with the fact that the right person will be sitting at "any counter". Are you currently actively looking for a partner?
Obert: I'm always on the show, yes. I'm not looking frantically, but I'm happy if something comes up. I've always loved to flirt. The most important thing for me is: I want to capture prey, not be the prey.
Does the number 60 bother you?
Obert: No, it's no use. I can't change anything about that anyway. Birthdays are good for me: the more of them, the longer I live. I just wonder where these 60 years have gone. What have I done? I still feel like I'm a teenager. But I find it tragic that my parents are dead now... I don't have the spirit to celebrate big because my mother recently died. I just don't feel like opening a giant barrel because I miss my mother so much.
How do you keep fit as you age? What's your beauty secret?
Obert: The psyche is very important. i am a free person I never use an alarm clock, always sleep in - that's good. But I also help. I recently had a forehead lift and an eye lift, which turned out amazingly well. I also use Botox and Hyaluron, but not too much. So that you don't see it. Otherwise the furrows will all go in like with Angela Merkel [67, Federal Chancellor]. I dont want that.
Basically I'm a ruin, I'm just glossing over myself. I'm a cosmetics and massage junkie. I'm just not 30 anymore, I would have liked to stop the clock. The arms are wrinkling now, I can't do much about that. But I still feel good all around. You have to love me for my humor, my drinking capacity or my quick wit. But honestly, if I were a man, I wouldn't be in the mood for an old bastard like me. I'm not in the mood for 60- or 70-year-old men, but prefer to get a callboy. Mine was 49 years old. But young and tattooed doesn't suit me either.
Is there anything you would never do in front of cameras?
Obert: I can't be so drunk that I'm so out of character. I've never had to say a big apology in my entire life.
You report in your book that you "like to have a drink" but also write: "Sometimes I don't drink for weeks." Does it bother you to always be associated with partying and alcohol?
Obert: No, why? That's cool, I see it positively. When I'm in the store, the champagne flows every day. My fridge is always full. Then people come and we drink together. Cups, fuck, business.
In "Battle of the Reality Stars" you made it to the final, but then lost out. How satisfied are you with the outcome of the show?
Obert: That was super cool, people enjoyed watching it. That's what it's all about: I want to reach the viewers and be booked by the broadcaster. For me, the show was a complete success.
With whom did you get along the least and with whom do you still keep in touch?
Obert: I'm still in contact with some of them. I liked Leon Machère [29, web video producer]. He has already invited me to eat steak. He also makes really great music. But in "Battle of the Reality Stars" he unfortunately didn't come out of himself. I also get along great with Janine Pink [34, actress] from "Celebrities under the Palm Trees" and Sarah Kern [53, designer] from "Celebrity Big Brother".
Evanthia Benetatou [29, reality TV star] is also one of my friends. I'm terribly generous. The two of us were in Düsseldorf when she was heavily pregnant and a little depressed. Then we bought a Gucci outfit for her kid: a romper, shoes, hat and more. I don't throw away the money, but when I'm in the mood, I just spend the money.
