Chris Cronauer: Back in April/May 2020, we made the demo version of the song in Mannheim and in Aichach and submitted it via our publisher at Universal Music.Helene heard the song, liked it and then we met in the studio in Berlin and worked it out together.

What is it like to work with or for Helene Fischer? How did you get to know you as a person?

Cronauer: I perceived Helene as a very, very determined and enormously professional artist and the way she is, she is also very authentic. It was definitely a huge experience and exciting to work with her.I could take a lot of it for myself and learn.

Helene Fischer is characterized by her voice and her elaborate stage shows. Is it a role model for you?

Cronauer: It is definitely a role model.I think she is a kind of role model for the genre of the entire hit because she brought the pops of pop and hits to another level and re -connected.In addition, she gave the whole a new freshness and modernity and made it commercially perfectly exportable. She is just a mega artist and that's why, I think she is considered an icon for pretty much every German artist.

Chris Cronauer: Er hat viel von Helene Fischer gelernt

They have already worked closely with Vanessa Mai and Nico Santos.Did this also create a kind of friendship?

Cronauer: Yes, of course a friendship was created on both sides.Connect songs, combine music and this creates a great relationship. It's just nice when you see that you have created and built something together, which remains forever.Something like that also keeps contact and friendship with each other, definitely.

Your brother is also a songwriter and composer. Are there any competition between them?

Cronauer: No, Danni is and remains primarily my brother and we have always had the philosophy together "everything that belongs to me belongs to you" and that's why we don't have something like that either.I could generally not work with such people, regardless of whether this is my brother or not.We do not know any arguments and envy and we support ourselves until the end of our days.

They grew up on a farm.To what extent did your childhood affect life?

Cronauer: My childhood certainly influenced my view of life.We grew up very rural, my grandma and my grandpa had cows and chickens. We have already enjoyed country life and took the down -to -earth attitude of grandma, grandpa, mom and dad.I think that shapes you and that you appreciate and enjoy something like that especially in today's days.

At the age of twelve they started composing songs.Where does your enthusiasm for the music come from?

Cronauer: My enthusiasm for the music came at the time because I always heard songs and my goal has always been to accompany myself with the guitar at some point. At some point I came to the point where I thought it was great to write my own songs.I always had fun creating my own things because the "covers" of other songs became too boring for me at some point. So it happened that I found the enthusiasm for songwriting in early years.

In February they publish their album "grateful".What are you grateful for?

Cronauer: I am grateful for life and the great things that have all happened to me.I am grateful for the music, the album and that I am at the start of my musical career and career.I just think that the word "grateful" expresses something positive and is characterized by optimism. And at the same time, "grateful" is a title on my upcoming album, which I devoted to my grandma.

What can your fans expect from the album?

Cronauer: The fans can expect a very honest album on which not every song sounds the same.It is not a concept album on which the musical recognition of titles to title is reflected, but it has many different facets and sides of me as an artist. There will also be a number of ballads that act on my life and real events.I lived up on the album and let off steam. It will be a very versatile mix.

What else have you planned for this year?

Cronauer: There are currently still a few TV shows and the album is now finished.I have actually worked a lot in the past few months.I am looking forward to it that it is slowly coming to an end so that I can start with full strength in 2022.
