So you like mobile games on your Android, right? Then you've come to the right place. It looks like 2022 will be a great year for Android with big new mobile games like Final Fantasy VII: Ever Criss, Diablo Immortal and DC Heroes & Villains.
However, if you are an impatient type, we have a lot of games that we can recommend for you right now. In our lists of the best Android games, we've rounded up the best the platform has to offer.
The most popular Android games of the year
Let's take a look at where you can actually enjoy gaming. We're not talking about which smartphone or tablet, but about the most famous games and where they are waiting for you.
Most Android users would say that the big names like Marvel or Blizzard are the leading companies, but that's just not the case.
The most played Android games are casino games. These can be found at any reliable online casino for Android devices, which you can access simply by typing the casino name into your browser or as a native casino app.
In fact, what makes them so interesting for players is their jackpot games and hundreds of bonuses in Germany.
The best Android games for 2022
DC Heroes & Villains
We tend to avoid match-three puzzle games like the plague. It's all the more surprising that one of our most anticipated mobile games for the next year belongs to this genre.
DC Heroes & Villains promises a unique blend of match-three puzzle mechanics and RPG components for this gruesome universe.
Of course, the fact that it's a DC game excites us, especially since it's the third wheel in the Joker and Harley's relationship.
Which brings us to the main reason for our excitement: you don't have to be the hero. Instead, you can be a villain, and let's face it, they're a lot more fun.
There's no firm release date for DC Heroes & Villains yet, but Ludia gives the game an early 2022 release window.
Diablo Immortal
Diablo Immortal is a mobile-exclusive MMORPG in which you can fight alongside your friends in a variety of well-known locations and dungeons.
The story takes place between the events of Diablo II and III and challenges you to prevent Diablo from resurrecting.
You can roam the world of Sanctuary as a barbarian, crusader, demon hunter, monk, necromancer or wizard and defeat increasingly difficult enemies.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a single player role-playing game that spans the entire Final Fantasy VII timeline. Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Ever Crisis is a free-to-play title with gacha mechanics that let you unlock special weapons and costume sets.
In addition, the game features special dungeons to explore and combat beyond what was seen in the original Final Fantasy VII.
Tomb Raider Reloaded
We've been waiting for the release of this game all year, but that wait now rolls into 2022. Tomb Raider Reloaded promises to be a must-read for any Lara Croft fan.
The game belongs to the arcade action genre and will take you on a nostalgic journey. Of course, the game offers exactly what you expect from Tomb Raider, namely puzzles, artifacts, tombs, weapons and fingers crossed that we get to see the dinosaur.
There's no firm release date yet, but we do know it's slated for early 2022, with Square Enix Mobile London working on the title.
Plants vs Zombies 3
Well it's been a few years since we had a new entry in the main series so we're excited to see what Popcap and EA are up to now.
As Popcap describes it, “PvZ 3 is all about taking you back to the turf where it all started,” so players can expect a modern twist on classic turf-defending action.
We personally hope that this game gets away from the microtransaction madness that ruined PvZ 2 for us, as it often got in the way of everything we loved about the original. And please Popcap, let's play the game in both landscape and portrait modes. That just makes sense.
